So Much Stuff and Not Enough Time

I'm still trying to finish a big sample knit.  It's 1200 yards.

It's the 5190 Miles Shawl.  I'm suppose to do another Everyday Shawl next so knitting time for me will be limited.

Meanwhile I'm trying to finish of this fiber before the start of Tour De Fleece which starts Jul 1st.

I started a bunch of projects too.

I also joined a KAL.  So far this is my progress luckily I have till Aug 15th to finish this colorwork hat.

Rinse and Repeat!

More samples for Backyard Fiber Works.  When I have samples to knit, I don't get much time for other knitting or spinning.

This is the Dot Shawl sample.  I ran out of the grey but just made the border bigger.  The pattern is here:  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dot-shawl.  I plan to make the larger size with the yarn below.

This Spokes Baby Blanket should get to Alice today.  The pattern is here:  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/spokes-baby-blanket  Funny it was suppose to take the same amount of yarn of each color.  I had like 6 yards left of the white and like 1/2 a skein of the blue/green.  It takes according to the pattern 440 yards of worsted weight of 2 different colors.

Currently on the needles is an Everyday Shawl sample in a teal gradient.  Here is the pattern:  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/everyday-shawl  I had to makes some modifications to the pattern.  I did kfb & pfb instead of YO.  I slipped 1 stitch before the marker instead of 2.  Can't wait to get to the other colors!

Meanwhile I did finish spinning my 8 oz of Woolgather.  Here is a resting shot.  I need to start plying it.

I have one more sample to do after the Everyday Shawl and then hopefully is back to finishing WIP and not starting more of them. LOL!

Sample, Sample!

I seem to be working full time on samples for Backyard Fiberworks.  Here is the finished Spotlight.  Luckily, Alice likes to block and weave in ends.  Which is a good thing because I can wait over a year to do that. LOL!

Backyard Fiberworks Sock in Silver Spring and Shell

I'm currently trying to finish up another 2 samples.

Backyard Fiberworks Sock in Stormcloud and what I call After The Stormcloud (don't know if Alice will name it that).

Backyard Fiberworks Orchard in Arbol

I will be working on:   http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/spokes-baby-blanket and http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/everyday-shawl

Meanwhile I did finish this hat and started on a shawl.

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/astrea-hat  I've made 4 of these hats.  I should know the pattern by now but manage to mess up with each one!

I've had the yarn wound up for this shawl for a long time.  JulieSpins Vera Fingering in Pansies and Ruby.  I haven't gotten tot he Ruby part yet. http://www.ravelry.com/projects/AtPlayWithFiber/carson

After 2 years, I'm finally getting somewhere with this shrug.  I've been watching Netflix at night and needed something simple to knit on in the dark and watching.  I had rows and rows of just knitting and purling.  Now I need to pick up stitches and knit the body.

Last of the Sample Knits

A sample knit cowl.  I had to send it on waste yarn (ran out before the end of the pattern).

A sample knit hat.  I added a pom pom but didn't take a another picture.  I liked how this came out.

This is a shawl with my handspun yarn.  I hope I don't run out of the red/black.  It takes 3 colors.

This is part of the Kindness KAL.  I need to finish by March.  KnitCircus is donating $5 for every shawl finished.

Love how this sock blank is knitting up!  It's from Gale's Art.

This is what is on the wheel.  Superwash Merino from Nest.

A Break from Sample Knitting

My Sample knit shawl.  It was mailed on Saturday morning and it arrived on Monday.  It was super fast!  She has more smaller projects but I'm not in a rush to get them.

This shawl is a Christmas present for the wife of my husband's co worker.  I need to get it done!

These slippers are for me but I have 2 more pairs to make.

These socks for my daughter are almost done!!

On the wheel is some lovely 15.5 micron merino and its so nice!!

The last of the rolags are spun up!

This is actually starting to look like a cardigan.  Never mind the fact that I started it 3 years ago!

Another test knit hat.  It's a good way to make sure that I get it knitted and done.  It's for the lady at Safeway that makes sandwiches.  She is really good and going to retire in February.

I'm trying to finish up my last of the rolag/punis.  I need more time or more arms!

Test Knit, Another Sample, Spinning and Yarn!

Here is my progress on my test knit.  I'm getting to the end.  There is more brown now on the right side since this picture.

I was almost done the 2nd repeat of this sample shawl when I saw that I messed up the last section of the first repeat.  UGH!  Now I have to rip back and reknit it.  The pattern is pretty easy with lace and garter sections (8) repeated 6 times.  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/paris-toujours

Spinning progress.  I will be n-plying this today or tomorrow.

I saw these Caron Cakes at Michael's and I had to bring home 2 for this pattern:  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/skye-boat-shawl

I love how they came out.  Me and gauge don't get a long.  I had to go down 2 needles sizes to get gauge.  I love the yarn. Cestari Super Fine Merino 2 ply Aran

Another Sample Knit

Since I can't show pictures of the sample knit (its a shawl), here is a picture of the yarn I was paid.  It's not really my color but I'm interested in trying out the yarn.
