Last of the Sample Knits

A sample knit cowl.  I had to send it on waste yarn (ran out before the end of the pattern).

A sample knit hat.  I added a pom pom but didn't take a another picture.  I liked how this came out.

This is a shawl with my handspun yarn.  I hope I don't run out of the red/black.  It takes 3 colors.

This is part of the Kindness KAL.  I need to finish by March.  KnitCircus is donating $5 for every shawl finished.

Love how this sock blank is knitting up!  It's from Gale's Art.

This is what is on the wheel.  Superwash Merino from Nest.

They Weren't Kidding!

Sorry for the lack of posts!  I somehow managed to hurt my back last Sat and am just starting to feel better.  I ended up going to urgent care on Tuesday since the usual heat pad, rest and Motrin wasn't doing it.  I was in a car accident and sometimes even a strong sneeze can make my back hurt.  I had to take muscle relaxants this time though.  Those even at 1/2 a dose puts me to sleep and I don't get anything done!

I did managed to finish spinning my Wool Gathering 50% merino/50% silk.  I just need to ply it.

I did finish my cowl too!

A Quick Knit!

Pattern:  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-fishermans-wife-knit-version

Yarn:  Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Solids in Glacier

This took me about 2 hours.  It was a clearance kit from Craftsy http://www.craftsy.com/supplies/fishermans-wife-cowl-kit-knit/4638  It comes with the yarn and a pdf of the pattern.  It's pretty simple but I've been wanting to knit it up for a while now.  It's going to be a birthday gift in March.
