This is my blog for my new business. I've been knitting since Feb 2009 after a break of 15+ years. I first learned from books but picked up again since my friend dyed the most beautiful yarns and I just couldn't collect them. I started to spin in Aug 2010 on a spindle and then on a Hansen Minispinner since Oct 2010. I started to weave Sept 2014 on an Emilia Glimakra Rigid Heddle Loom. I've been test knitting since 2011 and a sample knitter since 2016.

One Done, One To Go!
It's all done! I just need to weave in the ends and block. I didn't get the 10" length but then again I didn't knit till 6.5" before decrease. The owner loves it!

Another Test Knit
I am a glutton for punishment! I have a HUGE shawl (over 1,000 yards) test shawl that needs to be done by the end of July. July is Tour De Fleece for which my goal this year is just to spin each day. I missed one and will probably miss a couple more days due to travel. Then I decide to sign up for another test knit. I have to say though that both my girls wanted a hat from the test knit. I hope it will go fast. I did managed to finish the brim last night and it should be quick after the color work. They Weren't Kidding!
Sorry for the lack of posts! I somehow managed to hurt my back last Sat and am just starting to feel better. I ended up going to urgent care on Tuesday since the usual heat pad, rest and Motrin wasn't doing it. I was in a car accident and sometimes even a strong sneeze can make my back hurt. I had to take muscle relaxants this time though. Those even at 1/2 a dose puts me to sleep and I don't get anything done!
I did managed to finish spinning my Wool Gathering 50% merino/50% silk. I just need to ply it.
I did finish my cowl too!

Same Old Same Old
I'm still working on washing all my handspun yarn. I had a big bag and probably have 2 more washes to do. I do about 6 yarns at one time so that is about 24 skeins to wash. I haven't taken on any more new projects because I have SO many WIP that I need to finish. I have a couple of Christmas gifts and would love to finish this shark scarf so hubby can wear it this fall/winter.
Needle: Size 4 Circular
Yarn: Cascade Yarns Heritage Solids and Quatro Colors in Steel and Marine

I'm almost done these socks for hubby too. Good thing he doesn't like long cuffs (not like my Father-In-Laws 7" of cuff Christmas socks).

Heels Turned
I got around to turning the heels on my 2 pair of socks. They will make great travelling knitting. The complicated part is turn the heel after that its easy. I don't mind shawls but most of my WIP are full of charts (which are not easy to do while travelling). I have a double knit that isn't too hard but trying to keep to yarn cakes from tangling isn't a good thing while travelling either.
