I have some FO but then again I feel the need to start new WIP instead of finishing more WIP. It's my cycle. Eventually I will finish these projects. LOL!
I started this hat is Jan. It's not hard I just get bored of the 5 rows of purl and then 4 rows of knit for 8 times (I was suppose to do it 10 times).
This was a KAL for May so I was happy to get it done before the end of May.
I'm almost done this scarf. Again only 4 row pattern but I get bored easily and I don't like working with heavier weight and bigger needles (it hurts my hands).
I'm happy to say that one sock is done. A good start to the 2nd one.
My last of the robots for now. This is number 3. I have 2 more to do for my daughters but that will be later since I get tired of doing the same patterns too. LOL!
This is my blog for my new business. I've been knitting since Feb 2009 after a break of 15+ years. I first learned from books but picked up again since my friend dyed the most beautiful yarns and I just couldn't collect them. I started to spin in Aug 2010 on a spindle and then on a Hansen Minispinner since Oct 2010. I started to weave Sept 2014 on an Emilia Glimakra Rigid Heddle Loom. I've been test knitting since 2011 and a sample knitter since 2016.

KAL
Why do I keep getting pulled into KAL (knit-alongs)? I don't like deadlines and I have a bunch of things that I need to finish up but I keep sign up for them. Here is my May KAL that I managed to finished before the last day.
Yarn: Premier Yarns Deborah Norville Serenity Chunky Prints in Berry Burst
Pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cedar-grove-shawl
I have yarn wound up in a cakes for a June KAL too. It's by PicnicKnits. Details here: http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/picnicknits/3431915/1-25
It doesn't help that I already have these patterns and the yarn to go with it already.
This was for Judy Marples May KAL.

Can't Help Myself
I got this neat double knit sock blank from Gale's Art during my trip to Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. I couldn't wait to start knitting on it. Double knit refers to that there are 2 strands of yarn so you can knit 2 socks at a time. I'm not crazy about knitting two at a time (I can't do both heels at the same time) so I decided to unwind it and separate them into 2 balls.
It took me some time since the yarn got tangled while I was separating it into 2 balls. I did finally get them into 2 balls and then wound them up (easier to knit then a ball that rolls around).
I started on them last night. I'm using my go to sock pattern from Wendy Johnson. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gusset-heel-basic-socks So far I like how its knitting up. It of course looks a lot different then the sock blank.

Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival 2016
We only spent Saturday there but we sure did shop a lot. Here are some pictures of the Festival and what I bought.
Fundraising for Fort McMurray Fire
This fire reminds me of the Monument Fire we had here in 2011. I know exactly what the residents of Fort McMurray are feeling. We left as we saw flames on the road and fire fighters coming in as we were driving out. We also went through that some panic again as the fire moved North towards our friend's house when we thought we were safe. I need to do something besides donate. I want to raise funds by donating one of my handspun yarn that won First Place at the county and state fairs in 2014.
It's 316 yards at sports weight (18 WPI). Details on the yarn are here. I will mail it to the winner worldwide. What do you have to do?
Please make a donation to Canadian Red Cross. There is a $10 donation minimum please.
If you are on Ravelry then just forward your email to me (aplanet4creation AT yahoo DOT com)with your RAVELRY name then post on THIS thread. If you aren't on Ravelry forward your donation email (aplanet4creation AT yahoo DOT com) with the subject "Handspun Loop Drawing" and I will post on Ravelry for you.
From the post I will do a random drawing and send the yarn to the winner.
I've done this before for Japan's Earthquake in 2011. You can find the blog post HERE or the Ravelry thread HERE.

There is a Story to This Shawl
This is my Pale Thoth. My pattern page: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/AtPlayWithFiber/thoth Pattern page: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/thoth I needed to have this knit for Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. See I met Anna Dalvi at Rhinebeck 2012 and at MSWF 2014. I got her to sign the 2 books I have of hers.
You see I added another book to my collection. The problem was that I hadn't knitted any of the patterns from the books. So I need to change that before I saw her again this weekend. I'm going to get her to sign my copy of Mystic Shawls.
