I Can Almost See The End!

I'm on the edge of this shawl.  It's only 4 rows but you only pick up 2 stitches.  I don't want to tell you how many stitches are on there right now.  I'm excited to finish this since I started this shawl in 2013.  I have a few projects still WIP from 2013 because that is when I was working part time and I had no time to work on my knitting & spinning.

Gift Knitting

This will be a Christmas present so I needed to started on it.  It shouldn't take me too long.  There is only 8 rows for the middle pattern.  The rest is YO at start and end with just knit in the middle.  This is after 3 repeats.

Beautiful But Slow

I love the yarn but not the pattern so much.  I have 6 different charts and right now working across 3 charts with only one that has a rest row.  I have several charts with 5 or 6 repeats to do.  It will be beautiful once its done.

Knitting and TV Watching

For the most part I pick knitting that isn't too hard to knit while watching TV.  For the most part, the TV is just background noise.  Some of my project require lots of concentration like one that is lace with no rest rows.  I've had to pick some that I can knit without thinking.  Why?  Because we decided to re-watch the entire Farscape series.  I remember watching it on SciFi channel and while ago.  We even got the PeaceKeeper movie.  Well, I want to watch the show so I have to pick projects that don't need me to look at a pattern.  Just straight knitting or easy to remember rows.  Here is what I have been working on.  Details on my Knitting Blog on the right hand side.

I did start a new project well sort of.  I've done this pattern before but it turned out too small for the one who requested it.  I will need to add another yarn since I don't have enough of the original yarn to make another one.

What does 1231 yards of handspun look like?

I finally finished.  I have some left overs of the edge and border (on the left side).  The rest got used up.  It's big enough to be a lap blanket.  It's so nice to see my lovely handspun turned into a shawl though.  I really loved how this came out and the pattern is pretty easy.

Finished Yarn

Here is my latest yarn.  I got 4oz of SW Merino/Merino/Silk of Nest Studios Fiber.  I got 354 yards of fingering weight (21 WPI).  I liked the fiber so much that I got some SW Merino from the same company.

Travelling

I went for a short trip to Phoenix this weekend and brought my knitting.  Hubby thought I brought too many projects by I did knit on all of them.  Of course, none are finished but I did knit on them all.  Here are the pictures.  The grey/purple one only has 5 more repeats of 2 rows.  The only problem is that it takes about 15 min just to do one row.
