Till I'm back at Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. Here are some pictures from 2014
I'll post more pictures from this year's trip afterwards.
This is my blog for my new business. I've been knitting since Feb 2009 after a break of 15+ years. I first learned from books but picked up again since my friend dyed the most beautiful yarns and I just couldn't collect them. I started to spin in Aug 2010 on a spindle and then on a Hansen Minispinner since Oct 2010. I started to weave Sept 2014 on an Emilia Glimakra Rigid Heddle Loom. I've been test knitting since 2011 and a sample knitter since 2016.

Three Done and Started Two More
There is a reason why I always have WIP. It's because I finish a project and then decide to start 2 or 3 more! I finished my test knit and the shawl I need for a gift in May. I also finished the shawl I wanted to wear at Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival.
I spent 57 hours of knitting for the test knit. It used more then 1100 yards of yarn!
This is what I want to bring to Maryland. It should be light enough if the weather is hot.
My gift shawl which I will deliver to Maryland.
My two new WIP.

The Many Colors of Mesa Sunset
This is my Loop batt. The colorway is Mesa Sunset. I hope to get another batt just as pretty at Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival.

One Down, Three To Go
I got the socks done and they went to the new owner on Friday. Meanwhile I still have other projects to get done before May 6th.
This test knit is more then half way done. It's due in May.
I'm on the last chart and see the end of this shawl. Which I want to take with me and give to a friend in May.
This is a knit along that needs to be done for May too. I'm more then half way through the yarn so it should be done soon.

Project Linus
This is my stash from Project Linus yarn. What happens is that people donate yarn (sometimes fiber) for Project Linus. Here Project Linus only uses acrylic yarn to knit blankets for babies. The yarn that isn't acrylic gets sorted and picked up by one of our knitting ladies. She brings that yarn to the knitting group. We pick what we want and make a donation. Usually the suggested amount is $1/skein but I usually donate more since often the retail price is still on the yarn and the money is going to charity. I try to pick yarn for certain projects but for Project Linus yarn, I usually pick yarn that speaks to me and then try to find a perfect project for it. I really do try not to bring too much yarn home since I probably have more then enough to knit for the rest of my life!
