This is my blog for my new business. I've been knitting since Feb 2009 after a break of 15+ years. I first learned from books but picked up again since my friend dyed the most beautiful yarns and I just couldn't collect them. I started to spin in Aug 2010 on a spindle and then on a Hansen Minispinner since Oct 2010. I started to weave Sept 2014 on an Emilia Glimakra Rigid Heddle Loom. I've been test knitting since 2011 and a sample knitter since 2016.

Another Project Finally Done!!
Needle: Size 4 circular
Yarn: Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere in The Watering Hole
Pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/building-a-reef
This took me almost 2 years to finished and I ran out of yarn! Luckily I was able to get another skein of the same color. The yarn was a prize for finishing Camp Loopy. The color was close but lighter.

Almost Done!
More then half way through my 10.4 oz of JulieSpins 60% Alpaca/20%Merino/20%Silk in the colorway Jerome. I hope I have enough room for all of it on this bobbin. I hate splitting into two bobbins.
My sample knit was done in 7 days! I can't post pictures till the pattern is up.

Another Sample Knit
Since I can't show pictures of the sample knit (its a shawl), here is a picture of the yarn I was paid. It's not really my color but I'm interested in trying out the yarn.

Kitty Socks FINALLY Done
Needle: Size 0 circulars
Yarn: Cascade Yarns Heritage Solids and Quatro Colors in bark, Purple Hyacinth and Tutu
Pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/critter-socks
Now I have to make the bird socks in purple. I hope they don't take me over 2 years like these ones. Knitting for big feet in fingering weight takes a LONG time. I had to tink back because her feet grew.

Another Big Spin
Here is the start of another big fiber spin. I have 10.4 oz of JulieSpins 60% Alpaca/20%Merino/20%Silk in the colorway Jerome. It's mostly brown but I can't wait to see how it spins up!

Can't Help It!
I really need to be finishing up projects and not starting new ones. I found this free pattern that would be great for my luxury handspun yarn that is 200 yards or less. It's hard to find a nice pattern that needs less then 400 yards for a shawl. I don't care for shawlettes. I do so love knitting with my handspun.
Needle: Size 6 circular
Yarn: PS baby alpaca/superfine merino roving TLS ROSE HIP JELLY, PS BFL Silk Bellissima, JulieSpins Roving: 80% Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon Silver Maple and
PS handcarded mixed fibre batts Bella

40/40/20 Merino/SW Merino/Silk
I finished this yesterday. I was surprised how it came out. I guess I was expecting more white. Below is a picture of the fiber. I got 397 yards of 26 WPI. A light fingering weight.

4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt!!
I think its my 3rd year or maybe 4th year playing this hunt. It's so much fun even if you don't win anything but for the past 2 years Romi has been very generous and giving everyone a pattern! This year she broke it into 3 time periods so International knitters could have a chance. She has one grand prize ($30 worth of patterns), two First prize ($20 worth of patterns), three Second prizes ($10 worth of patterns) and then unlimited free patterns (up to $6.50)!! Everyone should at least get a pattern. I'm a big fan of hers. I have 3 of her books and many of her patterns. I managed to win a pattern the first round and then scored the first prize this morning!! The next round is at 4PM PDT. Good luck!! http://rosemarygoround.blogspot.com/2015/04/there-is-easter-egg-hunting.html
