Trying to finish some projects, trying not to start new projects, trying to stop signing up for test knits and trying to get some spinning in.
I did managed to finish my Rhinebeck Hat.
It still needs to be washed and blocked.
I started another test knit. I wanted to use some of the lovely yarn I won from Backyard Fiberworks.
I see another test knit that I want to do for AMBAH and I have the perfect yarn for it.
I joined another KAL. I got yarn for this shawl for Christmas.
I've managed to finish a pair of socks but not from the same pair. I got one of each done. LOL!
I got yarn. It was my birthday this month so of course that involves getting yarn.
My latest handspun and what is on the wheel right now.
This is my blog for my new business. I've been knitting since Feb 2009 after a break of 15+ years. I first learned from books but picked up again since my friend dyed the most beautiful yarns and I just couldn't collect them. I started to spin in Aug 2010 on a spindle and then on a Hansen Minispinner since Oct 2010. I started to weave Sept 2014 on an Emilia Glimakra Rigid Heddle Loom. I've been test knitting since 2011 and a sample knitter since 2016.

Finished One, Start Two
At this current rate, I'll never finish my WIP! I finished a pair of my plain vanilla socks so I had to start another pair. Besides, I need to try out my new Twist Minis Red Lace Interchangeables by ChiaoGoo. I also need to get started on some Teacher gifts for one of my girls.
My finished socks. It was from a sock blank from Gale's Art.
My start of a cactus. I need to get some small clay pots from Walmart.
My new socks on my new needles.

The Shawl With No Rest Rows
I started this shawl Jul 27/14 and it will be at least 2015 when it will be done. It's a shawl that you have to concentrate on because it has no rest rows. What that means is the wrong side is usually all purl. Not this shawl. There are some complicated stitches on the wrong side. It's very nice yarn Alisha Goes Around Panoply of Peacocks Fingering 80% Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon and in a color I don't normally go for. I think I got most of it with a gift certificate. Finally Finished the Last of Christmas Knitting!
These still need to be felted. It will be interesting since I have a front load washer. I will have to do some research or figure out how to hand felt them. Here is the pattern: http://pilgrimpurse.blogspot.com/2011/12/knit-felt-slippers-for-adults.html
This just needs to be washed and blocked. Here is the pattern for it: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/20-cornucopias-shawlette-or-scarf
Now to see how many of the 15 WIP I can finished before the end of the year!
