This is my blog for my new business. I've been knitting since Feb 2009 after a break of 15+ years. I first learned from books but picked up again since my friend dyed the most beautiful yarns and I just couldn't collect them. I started to spin in Aug 2010 on a spindle and then on a Hansen Minispinner since Oct 2010. I started to weave Sept 2014 on an Emilia Glimakra Rigid Heddle Loom. I've been test knitting since 2011 and a sample knitter since 2016.

Finish One and Start Another
I just finished this 2 oz of tussah silk from Enchanted Knoll Farm (colorway Tardis). I got 261 yards at 23 WPI (fingering weight).I started this Nunoco Batt Dropping - Random Fibre as soon as I took off the plied yarn. I got this batt as a gift for sharing my room at Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. I can't wait to see more of it.

Finished!
Here is my 10.4 oz of 60Alpaca/20Merino/20Silk by JulieSpins in the colorway Jerome! I'll start n-plying it tomorrow. I don't know how long it will take. It was touch and go on whether or not I was going to be able to get all the fiber on one bobbin.

Organizing Scraps
I use to be able to tell which was which in my scrap bag but not any more. I have to label them and the elastic band keeps the yarn balls from unraveling. Now I have to go through the rest and label them.
