This is my blog for my new business. I've been knitting since Feb 2009 after a break of 15+ years. I first learned from books but picked up again since my friend dyed the most beautiful yarns and I just couldn't collect them. I started to spin in Aug 2010 on a spindle and then on a Hansen Minispinner since Oct 2010. I started to weave Sept 2014 on an Emilia Glimakra Rigid Heddle Loom. I've been test knitting since 2011 and a sample knitter since 2016.

Turning heels on Socks
I have another sock at this point too but I haven't taken any pictures.
I'm almost done this HUGE shawl. It will be more like a blanket by the time its done. The problem is that I'm on the last skein of yarn. How many rows do I knit before I do a picot bind off (which will eat up lots of yarn). It's like playing yarn chicken and I usually run out of yarn.

Plugging Along
I'm still trying to finish up some old WIP and work on all the new ones I started. Here is some pictures of the progress. Details on the projects can be found on the knitting blog (link on the right side).

Happy New Year!
Let the WIP begin! I casted on this last night from some handspun that is sparkly.
So far I've casted on 3 projects and plan at least 2 more. Details on all of these projects can be found on my Knitting blog (link on the right side).
The brown socks are my Father-in-Law's Christmas present. I usually start them early since I have to knit 7" of the cuff and I get bored easily (even with a 12 row repeat pattern).

Pink!
This is on the wheel right now. My daughters request for pink fiber. I got it with my gift certificate from The Fiber Factory. It's 4oz of Romney.
It's going to be a rough spin though. This is the VM (vegetative matter) after I pulled a small strip out of 2 oz to spin. There is a LOT of VM that I'm not use to in my spinning fiber.

Slow Recovery
Still recovering from pneumonia so not much knitting or spinning. I have been trying really hard to finish some of my WIP. This bind off took me about 5 months. I started the bind off in June. It's just 4 lines but I only bind off 2 stitches each time. This shawl was started on Aug 3 2013! I'm glad its done. It wasn't hard but the lace yarn was a bit hard to work with some of the stitches. Details:
Needle: Size 5 circular
Yarn: Dream in Color Wisp in March '12
